Light Living

We designed an extension to this Newbury family's home to provide space, light, inclusivity and garden connection. The exterior was designed to be sympathetic to the original 1930s semi-detached house, with a hybrid pitched roof to hide the flat roof and lanterns behind. The roof lantern and bifold doors arrangements give great light and visual connection to the lovely garden. Hanging plants accentuate their desire to bring the outside garden in, whilst the bifold doors allow indoor living to spill out onto the patio.

This growing family will have their large loft conversion built next year now - we look forward to revisiting to see this final phase.
